Lares is a multidisciplinary performance that weaves together audiovisual languages, physical theatre, scenic design, and musical composition. Inspired by the Lares Valley and the Roman cult of the Lares, it subverts the myth of ancestors as protective deities, imagining a future in which they haunt rather than guard. Set within a constantly transforming scenic environment, the performance investigates the transformation of a territory, intergenerational conflicts, and the possibility of breaking a cycle of violence.
